Counseling for Young Adults


Emily works with clients to help them find their own strengths and be inspired to build upon them. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, and Somatic/experiential techniques in her work. Her professionalism and approachability make it easy for her to connect with people.  Aware that it is often difficult to simply talk in an office setting, she uses hands on experiential techniques such as art, mindfulness, and creativity to help make the client as comfortable as possible. Emily has a strong clinical background and has worked on crisis teams, in day treatment settings, hospitals, and schools. She excels in offering support to young adults dealing with issues such as anxiety, stress management, self esteem, depression, and grief and loss. Emily enjoys working with students from the University of Colorado and takes Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, and CU Gold Student Health insurance.
